Ladybug was found on the Interstate in Ft. Lauderdale, FL. She was delivered to a shelter in Ocala, FL, and we found her through PetFinders. When we adopted her in 2003, we were told she was 3 by the adoption agency, but our vet said she was actually in the 7 - 10 year old range. It would not have mattered how old she was, we loved her from the first time we saw her on the internet! So, we really don't know how old she is or much of her history. She is very sweet, and does not appear to have been abused. She has a combination of border collie and chow traits: one ear is up, one ear is down. She has a chow tail and rear end, and a spotted tongue. Her personality is predominately border collie and she has fuzzy feet. Most everyone who meets her comments on her feet - it looks like she's wearing fuzzy slippers!
Lady came into our home when we had 2 beagles that I had adopted many, many years ago. She was very sweet to the beagles, and they loved her. Both of the beagles died last year, about 6 months apart, and then Sky entered our pack. Sky is my step-daughter's laborador and is staying with us while Meredith is in college. You can see Sky's story on mydogspace under "skylovesyou". She is a mess! But an adorable mess and Lady tolerates her shenanigans.

Sky is Meredith's dog. Meredith is in college, and Sky could not get accepted into school, so she's living with us! She loves to take up 2/3 of the King Size bed; she will eat anything - ANYTHING...uh, let's review a partial list of things Sky has eaten since she arrived: One pair of slippers; chopsticks; half of a Mardi Gras King Cake; another half of a Mardi Gras King Cake; one wallet; 1/4 bag of confectioners sugar....there's more, but you get the picture! Sky is a loving, playful 6 year old PUPPY!

Sophie was with me for over 15 years. She was bred for hunting, but was not going to be a good hunting dog. The breeder was going to have her euthanized, but I took her in. She was terrified of thunder, fireworks, any loud noises - and it really freaked her out if the ceiling fan was not turned on 
She was the best snuggler ever and she lived a good life with us. She could smell chicken if anyone if the neighborhood had it for dinner! We miss her terribly

Annie was a digger and her first family couldn't keep her - she kept digging her way out of the yard and getting lost. Annie moved in with me while I was in school in Louisiana and was with me for 12 years. Annie was always the "middle child" and always worked hard for attention. She would get treat, bury it in the yard, then run outside to move it to a new location anytime she thought the other dogs knew about her hiding place! She was a little angel.

HI!!! My name is Willie Mays. I just arrived to my forever home to live with Lady and Sky. I am so excited - I follow Sky everywhere she goes, and I love to bite her ankles 
I belonged to a college student who couldn't keep me, so he gave me to the Adopt a Rescue Pet people in Citrus County, FL. I was there for a few months with a foster family, and then Rox, my mom, found me on the internet. I am so happy to be here with my new family.
I am part beagle, and well, we're not quite sure about the other half - maybe Catahoula or American Bulldog...but I am so full of energy, and the first night I was here, I helped Sky lock my mom and dad out of the house. It was hilarious 
Thank goodness they didn't have to call a locksmith, but I think we taught them a lesson!!
I am a snuggler and right now I have this chewing habit - I like to chew wood, and shoes, and paper, and doggie beds, and well....you get the picture. I love my new family!!!

Hi neighbors!
LOL! Yup, Zip's face sure is white! She has these deep, chocolate brown eyes that stare at you from this super white face. It's pretty dramatic! Especially because mom thinks Zip knows when she's even just thinking about food! Mom will think to herself, hm, I need a snack. And there Zip will be. Sitting. Staring at her. LOL! Silly, ol' Zip.
Ewwww, those storms are not looking good. Well, especially Ike now. Mom's gettin' a bit freaked out. We were kind of supposed to move to Iowa, but with this housing market it hasn't happened. Now she wishes it really had! Take care, batten down the hatches!

Thanks for adding me as a pal.
Mama has mostly worked out my chewing by giving me the hard rubber balls. They are solid rubber so last really long and almost indestructible.And they satisfy my need to chew and work my jaws, since mama says i have "pit-beagle" jaws!
And Willie tell your people that you dont find trouble cuz you are a good boy, trouble finds you!
