Search and Rescue

Mom and I have started our training for search and rescue (actually mom has, I don't need to be trained) and man am I having a good time!  We have been to 3 training sessions and the last one was out in the woods at night!  This is just too cool to be true.  Mom had to keep telling me not to chase the little critters in the woods and that was really hard but we have as the expression goes "bigger fish to fry".  I keep hearing people say that I'm really good at air scenting.  People are so silly..they could probably do it too.  All ya got to do is stick your nose in the air and sniff!  But whatever, if they want to tell me I'm a good boy for doing stuff I've been doing all my life, that's cool.  I can't wait to get my orange vest!

Good News!

Mom is finally going to take me to do some fun stuff.  Next Sunday we are going to a training session so I can  be a search and rescue dog and wear a cool orange vest.  It's about time she did something with me!  Let everybody know how it goes!

July 4th

Ok, been a long time.  Mom has been busy, she runs an underground railroad I think for German Shepherds going from the dog pound to foster homes.  I keep telling her she found me and she can quit now but she doesn't.

Anyway, back to me.  I didn't get to go to the July 4th party.  Mom said it was way too hot and I should stay home in the AC.  That was cool(get it, I'm funny!).  Mom and Dad got home before dark and it was a good thing.  We came under attack by forces unknown.  There were explosions and rockets shooting everywhere.  I took shelter under the dining room table but had to keep coming out to try to herd my stupid parents out of harms way!  They are brainless sometimes, I swear!  Thankfully, whoever was attacking us finally gave up and I was able to get some sleep.  Hope they don't come back!  Did anybody else have anything weird happen that night? 

Nightly Walk

I almost got a rabbit.  There are rabbits everywhere in my neighborhood.  If Mom didn't insist on walking me on that stupid leash I would have had one for sure!

Tomorrow I get to go to a 4th of July party.  That's lots of fun because people sneak me food when Mom's not looking AND I get to play soccer with the kids.  So tomorrow will be a good day.
