The Fourth Of July Parade
There were lots of dogs there and here's the guy that stood next to me. He didn't like his pictue taken, but he said I could take one of his back.
There were also lots and lots of people at this parade. It was sooooo much fun! I never want to miss a parade ever again!
We found good seats where could see. My Mom got me settled. She always fusses over me like this but at least she didn't kiss me on the head and call me hunny bunny in front of all those people:
Next we just all sat and waited for the parade to start. That's my dad in the green shirt. I don't know who these other people are, but they were waiting too.
We all stood up to sing our national anthem, and after we all sat down, I saw them coming. The parade had started. There were police and fire trucks with sirens and a whole bunch of motocycles...varooooom, varoooooom....
I love parades.

Holy Dane Muffins, look at you Miss Astrid, showing us all how to behave at a parade. And how beautiful you look in your patriotic scarf. It's just like the one you sent me, and I wore mine too, we both must have been the best dressed dogs on the 4th. See this is me in my scarf saying 'aroooooo'.
Oh, I bet it was hard for your mama not to kiss you on the head and call you hunny bunny, cause you are soooo cute. Mama says she would have given you kisses all over your sweet little face if she would have been there...cause you are soooo cute!!!

Astrid you're so well-behaved during the parade (as usual.) Mom said you're probably the best mannered dog in MDS. How's the firework at the night of 4th? Did you get scared like we did? We ran around the house to bark(Echo and Evan) and to hid (Evan and Etta). We did not see anything on the sky with bone shape or smell like beef with the loud noices. That's no fun!

Wow Astrid! I wanna see a parade! Mom said there was one by our cabin but we didn't get there in time. Boo hoo! You sure did sit nice through the whole thing! Did they throw dog candy at you? We might have been afraid though... Olie is afraid of big noises and I'm afraid of big trucks- specially the big trash truck with all those banging noises that comes every Tuesday mornin. You sure are one brave Diva!!

Did you get any candy, Miss astrid? Cuz I hear they just throw the stuff at parades! My (human) niece went to a parade and got lots candy, but she wouldn't share, even tho I gots alot more teeth than her!

Ms. Astrid you are one tough cookie like me and Jessie.
Angel was so scared of the noise that Jessie had to hold
her paw for awhile.
We all agreed that the sky was really pretty with all the
colors, but couldn't it be done without all the noise? Woof!
We could tell you were the perfect lady. Those Diva lessons
paid off, huh Astrid's Mom?
