How Many Did You Get?
Okay…it’s time to start counting how many margaritas YOU had to drink! giggles Remember, the girl doggie with the most is named our Senorita and the boy doggie our Senor! Your pictures will be in the entrance way to the Cinco de Mayo dance that will start later this afternoon
I see Tucker, Sasha and Sugar have counted 126 so far!
Cinco de Mayo Parade
The Cinco de Mayo parade will take place all day Monday. Line up was going to begin at 10am, but we have an early entry! Tessa is having an operation and won’t be able to join us for the actual celebrations, but she donned her Cinco de Mayo garb early and I’m naming her Grand Marshal of the 1st Annual Divas and Friends Cinco de Mayo Parade! So here’s Tessa to lead us off….

Don’t forget, parade participants, post as many pictures of yourselves as you like and lets make this a super duper Cinco de Mayo Day Parade! Also, it gets thirsty out there on the parade route! Grab a bottle of water to take with.

Mexican Hat Dance/Music
We all want to get ready for the Cinco de Mayo dance on Monday, so Divas…it’s up to us to know how to do the Mexican Hat Dance and teach it to our partners! I’ll post the steps so you’ll have plenty of practice time…...
How To Do The Mexican Hat Dance....real and true!
Okay, stand facing your partner.
Begin with by standing with your four feets together.
On the 1 beat do a little hop and land with one foot forward.
On the 2 beat, hop and switch your feet, putting the other foot forward. It’s probably best if you use your front feets.
On the 3 beat, hop and switch your feet again.
Now, clap your paws twice, in time with the music and start again!
Repeat this about 9 times.
If you can’t count, ask your mom, dad, brother or sister to help.

Hey everyone! Living on the US/Mexico border all those years taught us that Cinco de Mayo isn’t limited to just May 5th. The parade and dance will be on Monday, but to get things started, let’s play the game “How Many Margaritas Have YOU Had?”. The way we are going to do that is this…we are going to hide this little smiley guy holding his margarita in all of our barks. Don’t limit it to comment barks, go for the photo barks and blog barks too! On my page, there’ll be a blog titled “How Many Margaritas Have YOU Had?”. You can update as often as you want how many margaritas you’ve found on your page. The boy doggie and the girl doggie with the most margaritas on their page will be named Senor and Senorita for the dance and have their pictures on the dance page on Monday. The more barks you make with margaritas in them, the more you’ll get! So, here’s the code…

Everyone knows how to copy and paste code into their barks. My mom finds it easy to have the code available on an open text edit page so after working with other graphics it’s easy to just go and re-copy it. Is everyone in for this one? Let’s GO!

Cinco de Mayo
Anyone interested in a Cinco de Mayo party here on MDS? I came from the shelter in Nogales, AZ. There was also a Nogales, MX across the border, or ‘across the line’ as we said back there. Their moto was ‘We are one’...so I lived as close to Mexico as you can get and still be on US soil. And whoa…the soil of the desert at Nogales Humane Society! But…they took good care of me and that was then and this is now and I’m wondering if anyone would be interested in a Cinco de Mayo celebration? It’d be a big Mexican party held on the fifth of May. Pass the doggie margaritas, smack the pinata, lots of tequila for our parents…you know, usual stuff.

Dudes and Divas Do Denim!!!
This is a four day Denim Days celebration! EVERYONE…post pictures of yourselves wearing your denim! Post as many as you want!
Denim Days Friday thru Monday 4/11 - 4/14
Hi Everyone…. Another Divas in Training sponsored event is coming up….Dudes and Divas Denim Days. We were just going to have it be on Friday, but you know what? We’re not all on the same schedule, so to give everyone plenty of time to get in on the fun, we’ll start Friday and have fun with it right through Monday. If you’ll wear clothes, that’s great but lots of doggies (like me!) will only wear bandanas or collar ruffles. Whatever you’ve got in denim is just great!
I’ll start a blog on my page called Dudes and Divas Do Denim on Friday and let’s see how many pics we can get for this denim fashion show. It’s for all Princes, Divas, Macho Men and ALL of our friends, so if you know someone that might like to join in the fun, bark at ‘em and let them know!
