I lived with an older lady for eight years. I was always a lap dog so I never really had time to act like a puppy. Then one day my owner died. Another older lady adopted me but she lived in a condo with no yard and I needed a fenced in yard because I need privacy. She put me back up for adoption and one day a nice man and lady with a teenage girl and another Bichon named Snowball came to see me. The were going to be a foster family but they fell in love with me . The girl has an older brother who lost another doggie named Abbey. Since we had such similar names I was supposed to be his but everybody loves me. He is my boy and his sister is my aunt mommy. Snowball was her doggie and at first she didn't like me but when she realized I wasn't going anywhere she learned to love me. She was my cousin and she told me about how they adopted her when she was ten because her old family didn't take proper care of her and when she was ten she was put up for adoption. She told me about how her mommy, my aunt mommy, knew it was hard to place an older dog with a good home. She loved both of us the same. It has been two years since then and I went from being too thin to too chunky! Snowball had to be put down on June 16, 2007. She really struggled in the end but she held out for her mommys prom and graduation. She told me it was up to me to take care of her mommy now and I promised I would. I went on a diet and me and aunt mommy go for walks almost every day now. She taught me how to walk on the leash and we both enjoy the walks very much.

I have a new friend! My aunt mommy and her mommy took me for a home visit for other people who wanted to adopt from the rescue I came from! They adopted a Bichon named Precious and she and I are going to be friends! YAY!
