Group: STOP THE PUPPY MILLS
Hundreds of thousands of dogs suffer in puppy mills in this country. The dogs are prisoners of greed. They are locked in small cages. They freeze in the winter and swelter in the summer. The dogs never get out of their prisons. They are bred over and over again until they die. The only way to free them from the misery of these horrid puppymills is to eliminate the demand for puppies by refusing to buy a puppy in a pet store and boycotting those pet stores that sell puppies. When people stop buying puppies in pet stores, the puppy mills will go out of business and the misery will end. The state and federal governments do not enforce the laws to protect the dogs. The commercial breeders and brokers have huge well-funded lobbying efforts. Please join this fight to free the prisoners of greed. The only person who is going to make a difference for the dogs suffering in puppy mills is you. You, the people, can free them from their puppy mill prisons.

Lets not let this site end, it is a good source to send people to to lean more about puppy mills.. Maybe there is some way to have our groups pop up when people join or maybe not pop up but someway to channel people to go to all the differant groups that are educatioal groups..Jim do you know anyway to do that or who to suggest something like that to ? Not to be pushy just the educatioan ones..

I like your group, and the video. I'm also strong against the terrible places. And, to let everyone know, please do not buy from a pet shop/store, because theres a 98-99% [heard both] chance that there from a puppy mill, thats a BIG chance, So, just stay clear.

it is sick its sad at that matter its not right dogs are supposed to be mans best friends right they are not supossed to be locked up and sold to people for just a quik buck!!!!! its not right its cruel and unjustand its just plain sick!

The best thing we can do to stop this evil is to educate the uninformed. It doesn't have to be antagonistic or confrontational, just remind EVERYBODY you know who is considering purchasing a dog that if they go to a pet store, or an on-line seller that they will be supporting puppy mills.
If everyone understood that fact, then demand would dry up and the evil would stop.
Please, educate everybody you know - Don't SHOP, ADOPT!

Thanks for starting this group. I am a rescuer and I have taken in many puppy mill dogs. One of them is Harley on my page, you can also see Mindy & Cindy under the rescues tab. They were the ones I had almost 1 year just trying to socialize them and teach them trust. If we.. meaning all the general public... doesn't get educated about this issue and STOP buying and start adopting how will it ever end. PLEASE we must ALL do our part to get the word out, this will be a great group to help do that..Thanks Linda of the RescueGang
