We're starting this group in memory of our Chi-Baby. We have lost lots of our furends and we wanted a place where everyone could go and remember them. If you have lost a furbaby or a furend and would like to leave a memorial here for them...please do. Also if you post a picture mom will add it to the group photos. Photobucket

Hello friends,
We wanted you all to know our family became a little smaller tonight.  We lost our sweet little Sandy. She was about to be 17 years old and had grown very fragile this winter.  We had to have her put to sleep tonight and we are all very sad. We will miss her so much. Thank you for your kind thoughts and prayers.

I found this while googling about on an Irish Setter blog and thought that it would be perfect to share with this group...

“I will lend to you for awhile a dog, God said,
For you to love him while he lives and to mourn for him when he is gone.
Maybe for twelve or fourteen years, or maybe for two or three
But will you, till I call him back take care of him for me?
He’ll bring his charms to gladden you and (should his stay be brief)
you’ll always have his memories as solace for your grief.
I cannot promise that he will stay, since all from earth return,
But there are lessons taught below I want this pup to learn.
I’ve looked the whole world over in search of teachers true
And from the folk that crowd lifes’ land I have chosen you.
Now will you give him all your love, nor think the labour vain
Nor hate me when I come to take my pup back again.
I fancied that I heard them say ‘Dear Lord Thy Will Be Done,’
For all the joys this dog will bring, the risk of grief you’ll run.
Will you shelter him with tenderness ,will you love him while you may
And for the happiness you’ll know forever grateful stay.
But should I call him back much sooner than you’ve planned
Please brave the bitter grief that comes and try to understand.
If, by your love, you’ve managed my wishes to achieve,
In memory of him that you’ve loved,
Cherish every moment with your faithful dog,
and know he loved you too.” -Author Unknown

In memory of my heart dog, Diva Chi-Chi Jazzy Girl,  better known as Chi-Baby.  It was a year ago today that we lost her way too soon.  We still miss her terribly and always will.  She's always in our hearts.

A dog has no use for fancy cars or big homes or designer clothes, a water-logged stick will do just fine. A dog doesn’t care if your rich or poor, clever or dull, smart or dumb. Give him your heart and he’ll give you his. How many people can you say that about? How many people can make you feel rare and pure and special? How many people can make you feel extraordinary? ~~~~From the movie Marley & Me~~~~

Take a moment today to thank God for your pets. Enjoy and take good care of them. Life would be a much duller, less joyful experience without God's critters ~

We do not have to wait for Heaven, to be surrounded by hope, love, and joyfulness. It is here on earth and has four legs!

We just wanted to thank the creators of this group, a million times if possible. It was very sweet of you to start this for everyone of all religions to come here for support and remembrance of their loved pets and animals. Hopefully it will remain the same for quite a while.

No one should be offended by this group. Like I said, it is for all religions. The Rainbow Bridge can be taken through many ways and no one is in the right position to say their opinion is correct. Thank you to "TheGurlz", for being such great hosts for a wonderful group and "jehingr" for supporting us all.

It sounds like Cooper received more love in his one year with you than his entire life.  He knew that.  His story is a sad one but one that can educate and help others.  Be proud of the fact that even  in your sadness and loss you can help others.  I never travel without our pups in a crate even but my husband has allowed Sable to ride without being confined on a few "short" trips. Maybe reading your story will convince him that he needs to stop doing that. Thank You for sharing your story and your love for your pupper.
