Mulan, Buck, & Cody

It has been a long two weeks, but Mulan is almost fully recovered.  It is amazing that once she was put on prednasone it was it was like magic, she was so much better after only one day of taking it.  Today she ate all her food and was looking to swipe Buck's  LOL, she has her balance back, and she is back to chacing the cat.  It is soooo nice to see her happy again, she gave me a real scare.  The vet says that she thinks for some reason Mulan's auto imune system was attacking itself, and that is what caused all the swelling.  What caused her auto imune system to do this?  could have been an insect bite on or around her face.  What ever, I am just glad she is back to herself again.

Today Mulan gets her stitches out, she is on new meds.  The swelling is pretty much all gone and she is eating, drinking, & her balance is much much better.  We still do not know what the heck this was that caused all of this, the vet. is still trying to figure it out.  My other Dog Buck ended up with a droopy right eye, the bottom eyelid, so I told the vet. and she said this could be the same thing as Mulan had but it is affecting Buck in a different way so he is on eye ointment 4 times a day.  Nothing has change at our house and they have not gone any place different so your guess is as good as mine as to what this is all about.  Thanks Again For All The Prayers Sent Our Way

Mulan update:  The vet still dosen't know what caused the swelling in her face, but they have ruled out so much and are going to change her med. and she will get a courtisone shot tomorrow.  The Vet. said she should be feeling much better by Monday.

Congrats to all the winners! I totally missed this contest. I'm gonna blame it on my mommy.  I'm not sure what the contest was but I saw the entries and they were all cute.
