Mom rescued me 4 years ago from a puppy mill.I am a silver poodle but my coloring wasn't perfect so they had no need for me. I had never had my feet on anything except a wire cage so when I came home with mom I was afraid to get on the grass. I have so much love to give. EVERYONE need to be aware of what horrible places puppy mills are and not buy puppies from pet stores or breeder (unless you know for a fact they are a reputable breeder). Buying puppies from these places is what keeps the bad ones in business. And we are the innocent ones that suffer at there hands.

We went and got Gidget out of the shelter 1 hour before she was to be put to sleep. She was only about 8 weeks old and fit into the palm of my hand. She is a chi/yorkie mix and is as cute and sweet as she can be.She was found with 4 other siblings wrapped in a blanket and left to die. She was then taken to the shelter, I can't imagine why the people did this and why the shelter would put her to sleep. Luckly all her siblings were adopted in time.

I rescued Toot from a woman that had 8 puppies she didn't want. Toot was born with 5 legs but 2 of them were very small and non-funtioning, so she couldn't fight her way up to nurse from her mother. She was very weak and going to die. So I stepped in and rescued all of them. They were all adopted into wonderful homes, but after everything her and I had gone thru I couldn't let her go.The 2 abnormal legs had to be amputated when she was 3 months old,so she is now a 3 legged little girl. She is so full of energy and has such a special spirit. The leg that was amputated was on the front and unfortunatly the other front leg has now gotten very weak and bending not holding her up. It is starting to cause her pain and the future wasn't looking real good. Two vets said I should just consider putting her to slepp..NOT HAPPENING ! So we started looking into other things that could be done. Surgery was going to be very expensive and the chances of it working was not real good either. So we continued our search. We found a wonderful site called Eddies Wheels and there we found our answer. We saw a little guy named Gizmo that has the same problem as Toot and he has a frontend wheelchair and gets around great, so after some fund raising.. Toot is getting a frontend wheel chair. We should have it shortly and I will be sending out update, pictures and videos. Boy all her brothers and sisters are going to be sorry when she can start running after them...Pay BackTime !

UPDATE: TOOT HAS HERE WHEELS. Yeah I have my wheels !!!
Thanks to the generosity of Nancy a fellow rescuer for Paws and Claws Rescue...She does the same thing as mom only she rescues dashound (Winnie Dogs) Anyway she wanted to make sure I got my wheels so she came to my rescue and got them for me.I am such a lucky and loved dog and I am so happy that mom took me away from that place..Cuz I would be,,.well I don't even want to think of that cuz I'm happy now....Nancy heres a Big Wet Licky Kiss for you.

I was approx. 10 weeks old when my mom found me in the middle of a very busy intersection trying to dodge all the big cars. She said it was a miracle that I didn't get killed by one of them. I was really scared so when she tried to get me I kept running away and another car would almost get me. She won and got me and boy am I glad she did. She took me to the doctor and they got 132 ticks off of my small body and Dr. said they had drank so much of my blood that I would have been dead in 2 or 3 more days. Mom decided to keep me instead of adopting me out to another family. Every time someone would look at me she would say NO...cuz she said she didn't have the right feeling about them. She said my beautiful green eyes would "speak to her" What ever that means.I'm glad she kept me and so is she...
This is Mystery's eyes, look into them ...how could anyone just throw away a living, breathing, animal that has feeling just like we do. Please help spread the word to adopt a homeless animal and give them a chance to have a happy loving life. They have so much love to give in return..Please be responsible and Spay or neuter your pets to help cut down on unwanted, abandon, abused and neglected animals. PLEASE DON'T SHOP...ADOPT...AND SAVE A LIFE ....

From: Rescued I was lost very scared, hungery, dirty and matted so bad that it was really hurting and nobody could tell what kind of dog a was.I was sitting on the raad near where mom and dad live, he was comeing home from work and saw me. He went home and got some food but I was to scared to let him get close to me, but I sure gobbled up the food. The next day I waited hoping he would come back and he did, with more food in hand, this time I followed his white truck home so I could see where this nice guy lived. They put out some fresh food with meat in it...OH man was it good, then 3 little kids came to there house and when I saw them I knew everything was OK. I followed them into the fenced in yard and after much loving mom got the sissors out and all those mats that were hurting me so bad...HIT the ground !!Man did that feel good but it felt even better when she took me in and gave me a bath (I like my bathes). They were all so shocked when I got clean cuz I'm pure white, I was so dirty they couldn't tell..Well this was at the time of Katrina and mom & dad think I got lost from my family. They tried to find them, putting ads in the paper and everything, but no one clained me. So it's been over 2 years and they say I'm part of this big family, that I won't have to go to another family...I'm here to stay..Oh by the way when mom took me to the dogtor to make sure I was ok they told her that I'm a pure breed white schnauzer..mom says she wish I could talk and tell her my story where I came from and what happen to me..I wish I could tell them to.

My name is Daisy Mae I was named after my first mom and grandma. I am the only one in our house that hasn't been rescued. My mom worked with a lady that her Cocker had puppies. my mom wanted a blonde cocker puppy for her graduation present..so she picked me out.Do you know how special I am that she would want me instead of a car for graduation..(Grandma was really happy, cuz I didn't cost as much)But when mom got married and left home she couldn't take me with her so I stayed here with all the other 4 legged family members. So now my grandma is my new mom.I am so happy to be here even if I am the only bought and payed for one of the bunch. They don't hold that against me, they say I'm just as special as any of them, but they would never think of buying a dog again...Mom and all of us agree that the only thing to do is ADOPT A HOMELESS PET AND SAVE THEIR LIFE....

WE HAVE DECIDED TO KEEP BABY GIRL AS ONE OF OUR OWN...
Baby Girl, was originally left behind by some renters approx. 4 years ago. At that time my nieghbor decided she would like to have a dog and feel in love with Baby Girl so she adopted her. Unfortunatly my dear nieghbor passed away suddenly on Oct. 28th of this year and left behind this beautiful lab and 2 cats. KiKi and Nubbs. I had told her before she passed away that if anything ever happened to her I would make sure to keep her furkids safe, so thats what I am doing. Baby Girl was born with a natural bob tail, she loves to play with childern and other dogs. The only bad thing that she does is jump a fence. We have a 5 foot fence and she will go right over it. She is like the nieghborhood greeting dog. She goes around to every house to say Hi then come back home. She is a wonderful dog but she will need a country home with running room.
Mindy and Cindy are 2 of my fosters that are ready for adoption. I rescued them from a puppy mill the first part of April 2008. They were both used as breeder dogs and was treated very badly. Mindy is approx. 5 years old and wieghs 13 pounds. She is over weight but she has been spayed up to date on her shots, heartworm negitive and on monthly perventive for heartworm and frontline. She is crate trained and we are working on the potty training which she is doing well. I call her my little cuddle bug because thats what she wants to do. I guess she figures she is going to make up for lost time.
Cindy is approx. 3 years old and weighs 8 pounds. She also has been spayed, up to date on shots and on monthly heartworm and flea & tick perventitive. She is crate trianed and working on housebreaking. She has some trust issues with people she doesn't know but she does well after she gets to know you.
They both love there stuffed toys and they will take anything and everything into their crate with them. They think it's there babies.
If you want to know more about Mindy and Cindy just email me, there is so much to tell about their life that it would be to much to type.
UPDATE:
Good news Mindy and Cindy has both found there furever home. They have been adopted together and are going to be living in Conneticut..I'm so happy that a wonderful family wanted to adopted both of them together...

Well mom wanted to take them too but her situation changed drastically after she adopted me and she had to make a quick decision to leave them behind. I still wonder what happened to my babies but I hope they are happy and healthy.

Hi Pals! What a sweet background! Isn’t it so sad that Butch has left us? We will miss him terribly. Mom is FINALLY sending barks for us again. Well trying to anyway! She was sending them earlier and the site went crazy again.. We'll see how many she can send out without deleting anybody else…she‘s already deleted two furends today! She's been sick with a sinusfection and she went to the Dogter to get a shot...she WANTED one but she didn't get in the arm where she wanted it...so you know what that means! Guess that'll teach her..BOL
We were telling everyone to have a wonderful day so we hope you did…now we wish you sweet dreams of toys and treats and rawhide bones!

Hi Pack,
Rocky here. Leader and Mama thank you guys for the birthday wishes!
There was cake for the two birthdays! Since in Mexico,
January 6th is a special holiday (think of it like Christmas in th USA)
there was also this fruit cake called Rosca de Reyes, that has a little
present inside. I wanted to dig it right out! What? I thought it was
for me to dig out.
Oh, the pack kept a secret from us! We are mad about it. Grandma has been at the hospital not feeling good. She's been there right before New Year's Eve. You know how important Grandma is to us? She's practically our second Mama! We visit her a lot because she loves seeing us there. We give her comfort. We've known her since we came home to live with the pack. I always sit next to her feet to keep her warm. She finally got out today and we are going over there to tell her we are sorry we couldn't visit her at the hospital. No wonder Mama and Papa were gone so much. Nobody knows how to cheer her up more than we do.
We are off to see Grandma!
Cesar Millan Day Every Friday!

NAME: Stanley
BREED: Chihuahua mix
AGE: 5 yrs
ABOUT THE DOG: Stanley was rescued by New Yorker Alison Smith when he was about 4-years-old. He instantly bonded with Alison and adjusted to life with her, but everything changed after they moved to Los Angeles. He soon became aggressive towards anyone entering the home, so Alison must lock him in her bedroom and endure his barking until her visitors leave.
Anxious Shoven

NAME: Shoven
BREED: Pomeranian
AGE: 3 years
ABOUT THE DOG: The name Shoven comes from the word "chauvinistic," though it's unclear where Shoven learned to emulate his name. From the moment Barry and Debbie Fisher wake up, Shoven anxiously keeps watch, dreading the moment they leave for work. Once the door is closed, they can hear Shoven's shrill bark all the way to the car and are greeted with the same sound when they arrive back home. Shoven's separation anxiety doesn't stop there. He will also go into a barking, whirling, uncontrollable frenzy whenever anyone leaves the car in which he is riding.
Leo

Name: Leo
Breed: Australian Shepherd/Shar Pei Mix
Age: 8 yrs
ABOUT THE DOG: Leo was found at the Orange County Animal Shelter, but he came with a curious condition. Whenever Lori coughs, Leo will go out the doggie door to the backyard and climb up onto the fence and walk around, as if on a tight rope. This is distressing because he sometimes falls off and hurts himself or he'll jump off the other side and run away. When he gets out of the backyard, he loves cruising around the neighborhood. He's been found by the neighbors several times and has shown up at the local shelter twice. Sometimes, Lori will even find him pawing at their front door at 2am.
something about Leo: He was adopted from our local shelter! We are supposed to go there if we ever get lost.

Dear GODIG friends,
We are so sad to tell you that our beloved co-alpha Butch has left us.
Because GODIG is a group that celebrates life, we want to share some of the joy Butch brought to his humans Ray and Anne and remember how special Butch was.
Nothing intimidated this 14-year old Rat Terrier, including Snip the horse, a stray cat, and the sudden appearance of adoptive brother Buster. Butch always let Ray and Anne know exactly what he was thinking, and GODIG-ers remember his hunger strike last fall when he decided human food was "on his plate". Feisty with visiting chihuahuas, he let them know who was boss, but was never agressive or obnoxious.
Butch was also vital in getting GODIG off the ground. His enthusiasm, friendliness, and natural assumption that he was the same size as any dog around sparked our growth, and his spirit--that life for senior dogs should be full of zest and techniques for helping our humans adapt as we age--will always be with our group.
The posey (the flower that's not the rose) is how we have remembered other GODIG-ers who've left us, and we know that a zillion will be placed in Butch's memory on his profile (Dawg1943).

Hello,
We've just added our newest GODIGer, J. Jason Amadeus, also known as Blackdogrockstar, to the GODIG member list (which also has links to each member's profile for easier barking).

But his wheelchair hasn't stopped him from hicking and chasing sticks. Blackdogrockstar lives with his humans and three younger adoptive German shepherd sisters, Dezray, Ama, and Jazmin Ophelia. Let's all send welcome barks and pal requests to Blackdogrockstar at Blackdogrock... .

Hello,
We've just added our newest GODIGer, Rags, to the GODIG member list (which also has links to each member's profile for easier barking).
Rags is a Maltese/Yorkie mix, approximately 16 years old, whose mom found him walking on the sidewalk eight years ago and whose former family never came forward. Rags lives with his much younger adoptive sister Lacey, a toy poodle, and has recently retired as a model for his mom's pet clothes company. Lets all send welcome barks and pal requests to Rags at rags2lace.
