Hi,

Since most of my pals here at my dog space know me already I thought I would up date you guys on  my progress. When I joined this site back in December '07, I needed to have hip surgery but because of the expense of the procedure Mommie & I needed help. I received many donations to help Mommie & me from some of my pals which we are so grateful for.

One day at my mommie's job she met a patient whose wife is a orthopedic specialist, after seeing the poster of me & he told Mommie that his wife would help us & gave us her phone number. Mommie called & spoke with Dr Colin's who immediately had Mommie bring me to her office. I was taken for the procedure on the same day. Can you imagine that we didn't expect it to be so soon. Dr. Colins excepted the donations that were already made & allowed Mommie to work payments for the balance of $800. Not only did Dr. Colins help us, the procedure was almost $1000 less than at the original place we were going to use. We are so grateful for what Dr Colin did for us. If anyone ever needs an orthopedic Dr. I will gladly recommend Dr. Colins.

I had the procedure done in April & today I am walking, running & as healthy as can be. It was a long recovery period because I didn't want to walk on my hurt leg, & Mommie had to take me for many walks every day. At 1st I would hold my leg up & walk just fine, after a while I learned to run on 3 legs. But Mommie was not having it! she would make me put my leg down & walk on it. I didn't like it, but as usual "Mother knows best" because after a few weeks I was walking better & better & today you wouldn't be able to tell I had a problem.

I can now, not only walk but I can run, chase the cat & most importantly I can go & down up the stairs. Mommie is so happy she cried when she saw me come up the stairs for the 1st time. Silly humans they cry so easy, I guess it's  because they love us so much.
