My name is katie. i am a 7 year old beagle girl. i was adopted from a baltimore county shelter when i was 1 by my mommy & daddy. my mommy never had a small dog before and she wasn't sure about me until i got home and cuddled next to her every night. i am very spoiled and i love to eat. my parents have me on a diet right now because i am really overweight and i dont like it. i try to steal my sisters food when she drops kernels on the floor without mommy seeing me. i have lost, i think, 10 pounds. im proud of myself, but im starving.

My name is Kiani, (which means ancient one). I am 6 year old husky girl and i was rescued by my mommy & daddy at the Delaware Valley Siberian Husky Rescue in 2003. I am very stubborn and this drives my mommy crazy because it a husky way or no way. i guard all my bones, so my sister can't have them. if she gets near them i get very upset. i go for walks all the time with my daddy and when i get back from my walks i get a little vanilla ice cream. that is my favorite part of the walk.

I am just wondering if any of you other huskies have had the same experience that i had to just go through. my mommy noticed that my eye was drooping down so daddy took me to the vets. they thought that i did something to my eye, so my doctor gave daddy some meds. it didnt clear up so mommy & daddy took me to the doggie eye doctor. they said it should clear up in a couple of weeks, well it didnt and i had to go see a neurologist. during this past week, ive had an MRI on tuesday and i had a spinal tap on thursday. if the spinal tap comes out negative then they think i had a stroke. a stroke, can you believe it. im only 6 years old.

On 4/10/00 ,I lost my baby NIKKI. She was 7 years old. She was hit by a car doing what she loved to do (chasing bunnies). Life has been very difficult since her passing. This is dedicated to my baby.

Hi K & K, what’s shakin? Sorry it’s taken us so long to respond. Mommy and Daddy went away on their annibarksery. And you know what? THEY DID NOT BRING US BACK ANYTHING!! Our friend Lissa told on Sable about stealing some chicken off the table so mommy said we didn’t deserve anything. It wasn’t me (Chi)..it was that greedy Sable. I was leaving it. Lissa took pictures of us playing with Logan, her two year old two-legger. He was fun! He kept dropping food for us…we had pop tarts and spaghetti…wow what a great combination. You should try it sometime. She also took a couple of videos but Mom is having trouble saving them to her puter so she can put them up. In one he’s “tickling” Sable. He went after me, but I thought that boy done lost his mind. We won 8 Gold Medals in the 2008 Summer Olembics! Michael Phelps ain‘t got nuttin on us! (that's going on Olie's and Ember's page). They are on my BFF list. Everybody can enter and compete..you should stop by and check out the blog. I guess you’ve heard we are going to postponed our pawty that was scheduled for Friday? We decided that we wanted to do a memorial for Laura, Carla’s daughter, on Friday instead. One from her MDS furends. We just want everyone that feels led to do it, to go and leave comments, pictures, flowers, candles, butterflies, poems..whatever. I know she feels all the love from everyone at MDS. There has been so much sadness on MDS lately. Please go check out our blog on cancelling the pawty there is an update about two more families that have experienced losses this week. We just want everyone to know that we appreciate each and everyone of you. Everyone hascontributed to us in your own way…taught us (and mom) things, listened to mom, sent comforting and caring messages about great grampy. MDS has a Pawsome community who really care about each other, some they’ve never even met before, which is our case. We haven’t ever met anyone on here personally, but we consider you all very good friends (and so does our mommy). Thank you !
