I was 9 months old when my Mom discovered me at a rescue meetup. She was told I was able to leap tall buildings in a single bound, but she adopted me anyway (could be because I'm so exotic looking). While she was driving me to her home, I jumped from the cargo area of her small SUV, all the way to her lap while she was driving. She was convinced that I had no training or any manners, either! So, the name Pogo was suggested as a tribute to the good old fashioned pogo stick! Mom spent many weeks teaching me good things for treats (positive training). At least I was crate trained and she even bought me a soft crate which I absolutely LOVE. I wasn't house trained until at least a year old. I was just being stubborn, not knowing what was expected of me.

I love the new backyard Mom made for me. It's really Pogo friendly and I don't come into the house anymore with muddy paws. Many of the dogs in the neighborhood come over to play when the weather's warmish. I LOVE IT! Nothing like playing with neighbors in my new fenced in yard, and I get to be the boss (hehe).

Mom thinks I'm a "Treeing Tennessee Brindle" as a mix. I'm NOT a Plott Hound cuz I had a DNA test which says "nope". I've become a very lovable, affectionate, loyal pet who thinks the world of my family, Mom and Dad.
