Any one who wants a dog and is willing to spend time with him or her can potentially be a good parent. If you are a person who works maybe an older dog is best for you. I worked when I got my Princess and we took hikes together and went to the lake on my off-time. She was a dream dog- already through obedience training and puppyhood. She honored me as the master. I became ill soon after adopting her and she was my bestfriend. I met her when she was 4 and lost her when she was 8. I WILL NEVER REGRET the days I had with her, our time was short but our experiences with one another will last a lifetime and I will never forget what she gave to me.
