Good morning, We're thinking of expanding our family and I'd love to look into rescuing an English Mastiff puppy, if I can find one looking for a home. I live in RI, but am willing to travel up to about 2 and a half hours to meet the puppy first. Does anyone know of any clubs or rescues where I might be able to find a puppy? I would like a pure bred, and wanna do the noble thing and hold off on meeting with breeders until after I've exhausted the rescue search. Thanks! |

Are you still looking for a new addition to the family? I have a dark brindle male about 1 yr old. He does not have papers and to be honest I doubt he is a pure bred, but he is beautiful, playful and kinda goofy and full of love. I am willing to overcome any obstacle to find this dog a good home. If interested look at Abbyroad. I just signed up and am in the process of putting up photos. Oh and his name right now is Bodie (Bo-dee).

Hi there,
We are still looking, but for a female, and we're hoping for fawn or apricot. Also, I was talking to one of Maxx's trainers and she was saying, locally, there have been issues with Mastiffs. She said they're fine as puppies, but then they become aggressive and start attacking family members. She also said the quality of German shepherds, locally.
I think the wise thing to do is just wait a while to see if breeding improves, or for that perfect Mastiff to fall into my world.
