I have had my new puppy for about a week.  He's half chihuahua, half pomeranian, he immediately fell in love with me.  But he is fearful of my dad.  My dad has never done anything to hurt him.  My dad is heartbroken that Dallas has not yet taken to him.  He is not yet socialized, so I am working on that (with both humans and dogs).  But I am wondering if anyone knows anything that I can do to help him begin being affectionate towards my father.  He doesn't growl at him when I'm holding him and dad comes near or when I hand him over to dad to hold for a bit.  It's only when he's on the ground and dad goes in to pet or pick him up.

What we always suggested was to have that person completely take over their care. You back off and let him do it all. Does dad make himself a bit smaller when he picks him up? That might be helpful.

What I read that Aussie 6 recommended is exactly what I saw a trainer do on a show on Animal Planet. The dog was only aggessive to the husband so trainer had him do the feeding, walking, taking out to potty  ect. It worked. Good luck

Yes you could definitly have your own show and use you dogs as examples. Once everyone saw you have 6, they would assume you are an expert.  Shows all yours!
