Idea: put the collar on the kennel owner! If you must leave your dog (to go out of town), it's best if they can stay in their own home, with someone there (or at least coming by several times a day). If this is not possible, ask for recommendations of reputable places, like a doggy day care with boarding facilities. You should see some of the places we have here in SoFla ~ I'd like to stay there, myself!

Veterinarian Clinics are also great places to board your dog. Ermm... Well, I can say that for at least ours. Haha.
That's horrid, though. There is absolutly NO reason why that should have happened. People that own dog kennels should know already that there will be barking... and lots of it! You should never do ANYTHING to someone else's pet without the owner telling you to. Including "training", as they said. I would have that place shut down in an instant for something as stupid as that.
