Thought this would be a good place to share travel destinations & day trip ideas. One of my FAVORITE places is Jupiter Beach. The dog beach is phenomenal. It's about an hour north of me, we go for the day with umbrella, lunch, plenty of water www.friendsofjupiterbeach.com See photo contest results--you will recognize some aussies About five hours north of me. Summer Haven, the most wonderful place. The town of St Augustine is fun to go with dogs--take a walking ghost tour at night! We LOVE to stay at Villa Villekula, see: www.beachcottagerent.com (and tell Win, Tina & the aussies sent you)

Kennebunkport Maine is also pretty dog friendly. There is a great hotel there, The Colony, that caters to dogs. (They also have a hotel in Del Ray Florida)

Yes, the Colony is a coool place on the avenue in Delray Beach, walking distance from the museum, where For the Love of Dogs exhibit is! Florida Dog mag has a great feature on Nantucket, this month, too !

My Mommy was in Germany for 2 1/2 weeks in May and she said that she really really missed me while she was gone. She said it was really bad because EVERYWHERE she went, there were dogs. There was one GS Dog in the store, with her owner, OFF Leash, just sitting quietly while the owner paid her bill. Mom was a little freaked out and asked and Aunt Hermine said the the dog was SUPPOSED to be on a lead, that they have that law, (at least in Friedberg). But she saw lots of doggies... and about 1/2 of them were not on lead... She too never saw and poopies anywhere.. but she can vouch for Germany being extremely dog friendly. Mommy said she's gonna send me to Germany to puppy school to learn how to behave.. LOL!!!

There's a place by me that's a cyber cafe/bar and there are always dogs there... I just don't want my dogs to go because of the smoke.
