If you go to www.aspca.org you can request a free animal safety kit that has a window sticker for rescue personnel in case of a fire or other disaster, and an ASPCA Poison Control Center Magnet with a toll free number that is available 24 hours a day. Good to keep on the fridge. I just received mine in the mail the other day.
Also we have a fire plan for our home that we have talked about with our children. A child's first instinct is to risk their own lives for their pets. Having the ASPCA window sticker for rescue personnel lets rescue know how many animals and what kinds of animals are in the house. Also having a fire safety plan allows get everyone out of the house quickly and safely keeps everybody on the same page. Fire spreads so fast. Going over a fire plan and a pet plan helped get our family to know what to do and when. Keeping everyone organized makes it possible for everyone, two legged and four legged, to make it out safely!!

ASPCA Animal Poison Control Center: (888) 426-4435. I realized while you were waiting for your safety kit in the mail, it would be important to have the Poison Control Center ASAP. We just had a Disney "High School Musical II" pizza party sleepover with 12 year old screaming girls (oh the trauma on Mama LOL!!) but of course with the pizza, comes the empty boxes afterwards. I had put thrown them away, but one was left out. I was able to get it away from him before he licked anything off of it, but I have to keep my eyes on him like a toddler. So far no incidents, but this is good to have on hand, just like I do for my children. Hope this helps!! Sharon & Kitsu :)

well it did say to allow 6-8 weeks delivery........ so maybe they are slow
