BUG: We are noticing that some votes are recorded 3 times – this is being looked into right now.

UPDATE: this should be fixed now.

We are releasing this before it is 100% complete - as we want the community to give us inputs and feedback. For example:

- do you like it?

- awards for those with certains number of wins?

- always have you dog voted against another dog (from the profile)? open to abuse/cheating?

- should users have to be a member to vote? (currently non members can vote too)

- currently only members active in the last 7 days are entered into the battle

Is there a special way you submit photos?  Or am I just having a blonde moment and can't see it?

 I have never been in one of the battles..My dogs are cute too! Are they being left out?

Is this an endless challenge for however long I have to sit and decide which pooch I like better? Seems a little random. Do I like it? Not so much. Black dogs always lose. Especially BIG black dogs just like they are the last to be chosen in shelters. Awards for certain number of wins? If someone HAS to win, how about doggie dollars. Should users have to be a member? Absolutely. 

NadiaWebber: your dog's main profile picture is automatically entered. Then randomly the photos are picked if the owner was active in the last 7 days (we may reduce this - so active member's dogs will be entered more often)

Astrid: we may award special gifts to those with certain number of wins. But its undecided. The game offers another way for members to view each other's dogs and connect.

i agree that it is too random.  puppies against older dogs?  big against little. oh well, this is something different.

Some other ideas we were thinking of is to allow specific attributes:

- puppies

- dogs

- senior dog

- breeds

But remember - this is all for fun and NOT to be taken too seriously.

Ms. Astrid...you never have to worry...you are our favorite big black dog!!!  But I do see your point...it is a little too random.  I know I was having a hard time deciding if it was a big dog vs a puppy.  Especially if I liked them both

Oh..but I do like the idea...(sorry I'm a little slow today..blonde moments are coming at me from all directions).  Especially if doggie dollars are given.  Maybe it could be dog of the week and the one with the most votes for the week or even month.  I don't know how involved it would be to keep up with all of that.  But I like the category idea...at least that makes it more fair.  Ok..scuse me now...I feel another blonde moment coming my way!!  BOL

Astrid, i'm with sable and chi It is hard to vote because then i feel bad for the one that lost, but we do have to remember it only for fun.

I was playing this on Catspace and it's not as random... it seems more random here because there are so many members.  I actually saw 3 out of 5 of my cats come up- and one came up twice- in about 5-10 minutes of playing. 

I think the potential for "cheating" only exists in the sense that I kept voting for cats that I knew or am pals with, whether they were cuter than the competition or not.  I also discovered I have a tendency to vote for Rainbow Bridge pictures, probably out of sympathy.

I feel bad saying another dog is less cute also, but overall I think it's a fun game.  Would be great to get doggy dollars or some sort of reward, or even notification or something posted on your site, when you win.

Our mommy says she's just glad there isn't a crazy category cuz then we'd win everytime...we don't think that's soooo funny but she did!!

I logged in several times and tried it today. To me the same puppies kept popping up. I saw some of the same ones 5-6 times, one I saw every time I logged on. I guess it's a Mommy's pride but my baby was never on there. I know it's all in fun, so...

I had my human siblings choose all the dawgs, they had so much fun!  Suki and I are fine if we don't win anything, but to lose to Belle the Cow would kind of ... well ... stink BOL

I was just voting i did it for quite some time i found the same dogs came up a lot and some hardly ever any one no why i thought every one was given a fair chance

We may have to tweak the random order - but it is based on users who are active in the last 7 days. Also - if you look at your profile, you can also see your scores too.

ollie we vote like you do.  our friends first, then rainbow bridges.  not sure how fair we are but that is how we are voting. 

Here is a scenario ... I was going through the "Battles For Cuteness" and when Kitsu or Suki came up, as a proud Shiba Mom, I voted for them.  The only problem came up when I saw their pictures AGAIN.  I had to either vote for one of my dogs or the opposing dog.  In order to advance to the next battle between two dogs, I had to choose to vote for my own dog or the opposing dog.  I voted for my own dog again and then got all lost as to when to stop voting.  In order to keep voting on other dogs, you eventually hit your "own dog" again.  Also I have voted for other dogs more than once in order to keep voting.  It is unclear when to stop voting?  Thanks and again it is fun once we get all of the bugs out!

OMG we had no idea Belle the Cow was Sancho & Dixie's cousin ... Yet another faux paw!  Our apologies to Miss Belle, she is quite beautiful.  I think it is best if we lay low now BOL

I think it's cute! I try not to take it too seriously and I, too, feel badly for the dog I don't vote for. But then that one will pop up again and I vote for him/her the next time. I think you should you definitely try to do puppies against puppies etc. I mean come on, if a puppy was up against Cinnamon, I might just vote for the puppy! They're just sooooo cute!!! ;o)

Has anybody seen us...mom has played several times today and she hasn't seen us yet
