You may have noticed that some members are marked as ‘flagged by the community’. This can happen for two reasons: 1) the community have indicated that the member’s information is inappropriate (offensive, spamming etc) or 2) the member have contacted us to close their own account (for now, we use the flag to indicate an account is to be closed – until we’ve added the ability to close your own account) |

I’m very curious as to why my messages in the events section have been flagged and removed. The information I posted there is accurate and can be supported by official tournament web sites. I merely posted these events as I was there/or will be there and wondered if anyone was nearby and wanted to meet. Dog events are a great place to meet new people. I’m not sure how posting a dog event in the events forum is inappropriate. Please explain. And I have not contacted anyone to request my account be closed. What’s up? |

Further information on when a member may be flagged: i) promotion of a ‘for-profit’ company without providing any value to the MDS community These are just some of the possibilities – each account is investigated before it is flagged by MDS. ONLY mds can flag/close an account. When a member flags an account – it alerts us to investigate – but the account remains open. Please see our Terms Of Use for more info |

it would be great if there was option once you click on the flag button, if maybe something would ask you to click again to be sure. with a laptop and two rowdy pups around I might have accidentally flag a wonderful member. Just a thought |

It does affirm, are you sure you want to flag? It might save H&R time having a pop up box, after you flag, why: 1) promotion 2) spam 3) language 4) abuse 5) other:__ |

its ok if you flagged a member by mistake. Since this is just an alert to us. When we look at the account, we can see then decide if the account should be closed. |

Rob ~ don’t you contact them via email, and allow them to remedy the offense? ie: direct them to the Terms of Use. |

When you flag someone, its for a reasonable offense. When you look at pictures sometimes it a child in a party dress and no profile. Is this approperiate..Do you screen profiles? Also do you screen traits? |

I think I may have just pulled a Swalburn… I was leaving a bark for Tucker and Sasha and suddenly saw the red box at the top saying the member has been flagged, but I swear I never even hit the button! Or maybe it was indicating that MY profile has been flagged? I don’t know… but whatever the situation, it was a mistake! I hope nobody flagged my profile anyway… I don’t think there’s anything on there offensive, other than pictures of Olie with a CAT! Anyhow, Hershey, if I mistakenly flagged Tucker and Sasha, please disregard it! I might leave ya a bark on your site too. Thanks! |
