I'm trying to upload photos of my doggies to my profile.  I go to the Add A Photo area like I'm supposed to, then I browse to the location of the photo I want to upload (all of which are .jpg's), choose the photo, then enter in a title and caption.  However, when I hit "submit", MDS tells me my photo doesn't have a proper extension and ignores my request!  I've been trying for two days to get photos loaded.  If it's a MDS glitch I'm encountering (and I'm sure it is), any idea when it will be fixed so I can get my profile completed?  Many thanks!

If you are getting an extension error - then its most likely it does not recognise the photo format.

Please take a look at the help page  - there is a link there to convert your files.

I am having the same problem now. I have not had any problems in the past with uploading new pictures. But now, I get the same error as Falina2 does. All of my pictures are .jpg extentions. Any ideas?

i am also having trouble uploading pics.  i was able to upload a few when i first signed up, but now when i try, it just completely erases the item that i chose from browsing.  i've been trying it for a couple of days now.  no luck so far.  i also tried to resize my photos, that didn't work either.  any suggestions?

i may be wrong but my daughter tells me that you may have to open an account such as photobucket & then download them from there,i have the same problem,when i first joined i was able to upload my own picture for my profile etc but when i later tried to put more up i couldnt.its just a suggestion,i havent tried it yet(to busy chatting etc)hope it works!

You shouldn't have to use photobucket.com to get the photos to upload.  My husband's MyDogSpace was put together over a year ago and we had no problems doing whatever we wanted to do to the space.  It wasn't until just recently that we had photo upload issues and have experienced extreme delays in getting pages to open -- if they open at all.

I tried to use photobucket when I was having problems getting my photos uploaded last week, and even that wouldn't work for me.  I've since got my photos uploaded (with Robert the site owner's help).  I suggest shooting Robert an email and letting him know the problem along with the error message you're getting.

I'm not sure what's going on with the site.  We love MyDogSpace, but lately it's extremely frustrating to use.

The most common issue with photo is the size - they are typically too big to upload.

Once suggestion is to try the resize link on the help pages.
