MICHAEL VICK SENTENCE FAIR?: “Animal cruelty”

Anybody heard the Barber Shop show last night ( Tiki and Ronde)on Sirius radio? The matter was all about Michael Vick 23-month jail imprisonment for “animal cruelty” as what other people utter for being the instigator of illegal dog fight and animal cruelty. They were giving their views if it’s a fair conviction or not. What you think, was the conviction fair or not? Some people say that it’s a fair conviction though some utter that is not fair (it’s too much) some say that the amount of punishment is just little for the deeds that he committed. In my own point of view, I really can’t tell if the conviction was fair or not, I agree that his deeds has been sensationalized and his punishment vastly exceeds his deeds but I also agree that it was a fair conviction and the amount of punishment is just little for his actions (I’m not being bias here) it’s just a point of view of being a dog breeder and justice seeker. The issue of the Falcons’ star Michael Vick was being sensationalized huh. (the prize of fame and fortune) lol. Ohh I remember to all the NFL fan out there I saw a holiday special going on for NFL radio might want to check it if you want to purchase cheap price of satellite radio it’s in here
freeradio/shop. Thanks.

Even though this is spam, I'll reply. I already have satellite radio thanks. If I were to be sitting on the bench for this sentencing I'd look up each and every code, charge and he'd get max for everything I could come up with. Not so much because I think more of a half decent dog then I do of most humans but because of who he is. Here he is the great football star that alot of kids look up to, hoping to be just like him one day. Instead of being a leader and role model he really isn't anything better then a punkass stealing from his moms purse to buy a blunt at the 7-11. So what, he can play football and everyone knows him, that makes it okay to lie to the court and fail a drug test he knew he was going to be taking? Thats the reason he got the max, not so much what he did to the animals. And if you get your new satellite radio use it to listen to music, hell with the news. That makes me laugh Nadia, makes me wonder if he didn't take a few to many hits to the head, or maybe he never really was to bright?

So, Mr Big Shot Vick the dog killer is going to rehab so he can get out early. What a surprise? I am sickened by this pathetic example of justice. There is no rehab for for people like him. he has no remorse and only puts on a show to get out so he can get back to playing ball. I live in Atlanta and he was NO great quarterback. The falcons are a losing team with him and without him. Whoever signs him will never have a moments peace with him on the team. The last game of the season there were falcon players who were holding up there shirts showing free vick written on them. There are a lot of sick people in this world but there might be fewer if there were not those who openly show support for them.

I think the whole thing is so unfair! As someone who is in pit bull rescue, it just breaks my heart. Did anyone see the episode of CSI recently about the dog fighting? It sad, but so true to life. It's so easy to ignore the problem, but by having a celeb/athlete commit the crime it brings it into people's focus, so if anything people are more aware of the dog fighting problem. As for Vick, I hope that he never plays football again!

I wish people were as passionat about dogs as we are..They showed some of Mike Dick's dogs on tv and they were all scarred up.
I ofter watch animal cops on animal planet and see that sort of thing. My stomach curls watching stuff on tv about it. I can't imagine people that do this in real life..

I don't care who he is or what he does. When it comes to animal abuse there is no punishment too high or to much. Every action that you do has a reaction. If you go through life treating our precious creatures will such disrespect it will fall back upon you. I have no use for those who treat anything less than equal to themselves. When you think you are better than anyone else and act out in a manner that doesn't reflect any thing other than great kindness, than you will be punished as you should be. If not by man than by powers greater than ourselves.

Martin Luther King stated, "The ultimate measure of a man is not where he stands in moments of comfort or convenience, but where he stands at times of challenge and controversy".
I am hugely disappointed with his behavior, lack of good judgement and true remorse.

And the sad thing is, he will probably do it again. Because people who do that stuff do not care at all.

He deserves a hell of alot more than he is getting for what he did. I've been watching Dogtown on National Geographic. It's about an animal sanctuary and they have some of vicks dogs and are trying to turn them back around into regular dogs so they can have a chance at a real home with a family. Anyone interested should check it out, it's very interesting...i feel bad for those dogs. Luckily though, twenty some of them rescued from his place have found foster homes atleast for the mean time. I was glad to hear that. |

Did you see that device where females can basically be raped???? And that poor dog that had all of her teeth pulled so she could be bred and not bite the male?? They need to find the vet that did that! he or she is walking around scott free and needs to be found and punished as well!!! |

It was amazing to see many of the fighting dogs wanted nothing to do with fighting. I saw the dogs being more fearful/submissive toward eachother..Michael Vick ia an animal. I hope he rots.. |

First let me say Ive owned Pitbulls all my life and have never abused or used them for fighting. Each has been like a member of my family. Now to the topic. Vick's sentence was extremely unfair. For all of those opposed to Michael Vick and want to feed him to their Dogs I suggest you intially look at yourself and figure out how u could be so violent to a Human Being. I love animals but people first please. Next I would turn to sport networks and ask them how they could show deers being hunted ,murdered, and then grabbed by there antlers with a camera in their face and shown off, DEAD.Now how about you vote against McCain and his support of the NRA. After your show of support there we can move on to horse racing. What happens to a horse whose been raced nearly to death that breaks a little bone in his leg and cant run?? Pitbulls are Gladiators.Warriors, bred to fight. It is up to us to train and socialize our dogs to act against this instinct. But to take away a man's career, the way he supports his family because he chose to make a hobby out of this breed's instinct is WRONG! People before we decide to hang a MAN and feed him to the wolves or our own dogs lets stand together and find the true injustices to ANIMALS and HUMANS not just our DOGS |

I still want Vick to burn.. And here is one of the rescues from the horse auction. Raced at Rockingham Park and Suffolk downs. Poor horses get sold for meat if no one picks them up..This one was a good racer but got a bowed tendon, almost like a disposable animal. Makes me sick because she is a wonderful horse. |

Nadia how could you have so much love for dogs but so little for people. Regardless of his crime Vick is still a man, who deserves forgiveness. Yes God forgives him. You should too. Whats the difference between you preying on his downfall, or watching him burn then Vick drowing an injured dog? Or a horse being killed after breaking a leg. Or deers being hunted.Or bull fighting.or chicken fighting. or eating meat!! |

People have the power to make choices. Vick made poor choices. Easy as that. He doesn't deserve any compassion. He obviously has none for others. It doesn't have anything to do with eating meat. |

I don't honestly even get it... how can you compare his actions to eating meat? |
