This is kinda funny..
The broad DID use beet juice, do you guys think she should get into trouble? I think the people who prosecuted her have waaaaay too much time on thier hands!

i think that they are making a huge deal out of nothing... i don't know if they have too much time, more like their priorities are messed up... but to each their own i guess...
i wouldnt do it to my dog... but she didn't harm anyone...

I posted something about this on the media forum. I remember when I was a kid I helped my friend dye her horse pink with Kool Aid. It was halloween and she was a princess so she wanted her horse pink. I understood that. We had a horse/human costime contest - I was a french maid and my horse had on red lipstick - go figure.
Then at a St. Patty's day parade that we took the horses in, while we're unloading them from the trailer, I spotted a green elephant. Had been dyed green for the holiday of course. The horses freaked out.
I just remembered a friend whose daughter brought a stray kitten home that she found in the neighborhood. It was purple. THAT made me mad because these little guys were strays and someone bothered to dye them but couldn't take care of them.
In all, I don't really see any issue whatsoever as long as it is non-toxic. Some people put far more ridiculous, humiliating outfits on their pets and they are not prosecuted.
Just my $0.02.

Agreed ~ taken far beyond where it needs to be. After a bath, this dog will be back to normal, and the (all natural) pink was for a good cause. GEESH!
