I can recall once as a child helping a friend dye her horse pink, using Kool Aid and it was kind of neat. Also, for St. Patty’s day we had our horses in a parade where there was an elephant dyed green. I’m not sure it is the greatest idea but I also don’t think it is cruel by any means – as long as it is non-toxic of course.

If she dyed the poodle in this particular instance with beet juice than I really don’t see the issue. If she has used human hair coloring in the PAST then I can’t imagine they can do anything about it. If an enforcement officer didn’t see her with the dog or see her do it with human coloring I think it would be impossible to cite her for it.

There are far more egregious offenses out there we should be concentrating on.

At least this woman loves her dog! Why else would you pay money to dye them, I’m sure it isn’t cheap!
