A dog ordinance like this will spread like wild fire so watch out and try to defeat it if it comes to your area. Dogs never get a break. Now if a dog acts like a dog and is in its on yard but barks, growls or snarls at someone that someone if they don't like dogs or if they don't like you can now say they fear for their life and then your like is a mess. You have to go before a board to determine if your dog is dangerous and until it is resolved they could take your dog and put it in the shelter. Over 3,000 dogs were said to be dangerous last year and only 3 were determined to be dangerous but the other 2,997 we put in shelters and were tramatized and the owners were out a lot of money having to take off from work to go before the board several times. Now a dog can't even do what it has always done and protect you and your property. They are giving dog haters the power to really mess with our lifes and our dogs lives. What happened to having your dog in a secure area? Now you will have to keep your dog in the house, but wait if somoene comes to the door and your dog starts barking and acting like a dog the person on the other side of the door will fear for their life and it could still happen. If someone is thinking of breaking into your house and they hear a dog all they have to do is say they were just walking by and they feared for their life and wait for your dog to be taken away then come back and break in without fear!!!!!???? What is this world coming to????

I completely agree with you, What if you have your dog to protect you? and it IS dangerous?, I feel that as long as you can control your dog, and it hasn't hurt an innocent person than what's the problem?, my dogs protect our family, and if my dogs see a suspicious person trying to come into our house or hurt us they WILL attack because that their nature, and its what they were bred to do, but now our dogs cant make a peep at a stranger!? tht makes no sense ....Whats happend to us is that my dogs were barking at a possum that was in my neighboors yard, All of a sudden at 1 in the morning the cops are knocking on our door, and they almost arrested my dad, because they said my dogs were DISTURBING THE PEACE!, none of us could believe what the cops were saying! Someone had called and reported that our dogs were barking and my dad almost went to jail!, Now a dog cant even bark in its own yard when it see's something suspicious!.... I really dont know what the world is coming to, but its definitely not good....
