How do these dog fighting rings go "unnoticed" for so long?, I wonder.....Even on a remote piece of property, sounds are heard. In town, wouldn't anyone notice the purchase of key items?

Oh, you bet people notice. But people are lazy. And scared. They tend to "not want to get involved" unless it's over someting petty. I mean, if they said something, what would everyone else say about them, right? Pah.

i know really, if i knew of something like that i would prob say something to the authorities. but not everyone does that. i reported a puppy mill recently, the lady had 33 females just about as many males and no staff. i don't understand why people don't report those things.

Most of it's probably because most of those silly people don't see dogs as anything but material items. Would you report someone that had 45 lamps in their house? Haha.

No lives are being lost here, people ~ here in SoFLa, our homeowners' assn squawks if you dare paint your house an UNpastel color....How do people who know this stuff is going on, sleep at night? Again, probably b/c they think of pets as common chattel...idea> call in anonymously. Tina, who is living in a newly painted drab olive house

i actually went out to the kennel and the conditions were horrible; waste everywhere-stench was unbearable, puppies had massive flea infestations. i didn't just casually report someone who had many dogs.... there are people who do, but at least have family to help take care of them if not staff.

You did the right thing. Hopefully, you at least have a animal control office that actually does something about it. Here, if you spot anything like that, they simply tell you "There's nothing we can do about it". There's PLENTY they can do about it! If nothing else, then to knock a little sense into those kinds of people.
